What to Expect at Your First Visit
Walking into a new dental office shouldn’t feel like a gamble. At Magnolia Smiles, we’ve designed your first visit to feel calm, clear, and completely personalized. You’ll know what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and how we’re building your care around you—not the other way around.
Whether it’s been six months or six years since your last exam, we’ll meet you where you are and move forward with care that makes sense for your smile.
Your First Appointment Step-by-Step
Warm Welcome at Check-In
From the moment you walk in, you’ll be greeted by name. If you filled out your forms online ahead of time (optional but recommended), we’ll get you settled with no extra paperwork. Questions about insurance or our membership plan? We’re happy to help.
One-on-One Time With Your Hygienist
We start by listening. Then your hygienist completes a gentle cleaning, takes diagnostic x-rays, and checks your gums and teeth with care and precision. You’ll see what we see, get clear next steps, and leave knowing exactly where your smile stands and what comes next—on your terms.
Doctor Exam and Treatment Planning
Dr. Finnegan will meet with you to review your x-rays, examine your teeth and gums, and answer any questions. If treatment is recommended, he’ll explain your options clearly and walk you through timelines, costs, and priorities.
