What to expect at your first visit

Walking into a new dental office should not feel like a gamble. At Magnolia Smiles, your first visit is built to feel calm, clear, and personal. We listen first, examine carefully, explain what we find in plain English, and make sure you leave with a plan that feels understandable and manageable.

Your first appointment, step by step

Warm welcome at check-in

From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by name. If you filled out your forms online ahead of time (optional but helpful), we get you settled with no extra paperwork. Insurance, membership, or out-of-pocket — we will walk you through it.

One-on-one time with your hygienist

We start by listening. Your hygienist completes a gentle cleaning, takes diagnostic x-rays, and checks your gums and teeth with care. You see what we see on the screen, get clear next steps, and never feel rushed.

Doctor exam and treatment planning

Dr. Finnegan reviews your x-rays, examines your teeth and gums, and answers every question. If treatment is recommended, he explains the options in plain English and puts timelines and costs in writing before anything starts.
